Yeah, some of what I'm doing is totally new to me. However, I have ATTEMPTED to do flash games before. So I already know a good deal of what's going into it. My previous attempts never really got off the ground because of a lack of planning - they just fell apart...
Since you're taking Computer Science right now, I would assume that there would be some kind of computer programming involved, and subsequently you would understand just how important it is to plan out a large projects before even touching the keyboard. I learned that the hard way. XP
So some of it's new to me, but I know what I'm doing (mostly...). For everything else, there's tutorials and the wonderful (and tedious) process of figuring it out.
